by LaToya Frazier and Leigh Beaty | September 24, 2019

  1. FREE Website Page Speed Tools
  2. Email List
    • Monitor list(s)
    • How many folks are actively engaged?
    • List need to be authenticated on behalf of your domain
    • Email reputation (clean your list)
  3. Social Media Followers
    • How many followers do you have.
    • Is that number increasing or decreasing?
    • If increasing, is that a direct result of a specific post?
  4. Unique Visitor Traffic – A term used in Web analytics to refer to a person who visits a site at least once within the reporting period. Each visitor to the site is only counted once during the reporting period, so if the same IP address accesses the site the site many times, it still only counts as one visitor.
  5. Website Bounce Rate – The amount of time a new visitor visits the site and immediately leave without completing any task.

Bonus: An easy way to get started on monitoring your website performance

  • Set up a spreadsheet (google doc or excel)
  • List metrics down one column
  • Across the top, put a date in that you will check performance each month
  • Add another column to indicate increase or decrease
  • Look back on social media calendar or insights to determine which blog post had a positive or negative impact during the month. Make adjustments for the subsequent months as applicable
