Insurance for your
WordPress website

Your Website Is Critical To Your Business

It generates leads and customers (or at least it should).  It is where new customers, suppliers and new business partners will engage with you.  It is key to your business success and you need peace of mind that it will be there for you – running like a finely tuned engine 24/7 every day of the year.

All Software Is Vulnerable

This is the reality of our online world.  Software needs updating – including the complex themes and plugins that power your WordPress website.  More and more websites are being attacked – it is not just the big names Like Facebook and Instagram – thousands of small business websites are being hacked as they are seen as an easy target.

The Technology Behind Your Website Is Complex

There are themes and plugins.  The payment and auto-responders that they connect to.  The server that your website runs on. And CSS, HTML, PHP, oh my!  It may sound like mumbo-jumbo to you – but it is poetry to us!

You Could Do It Yourself

If you weren’t busy building and growing your business.  The time you spend securing and maintaining your website is time not spent building relationships with customers, developing the products and services they need, and taking care of your yourself and your family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Care & Maintenance

Can I really cancel anytime?

Yup. We already love you and your biz and would be sad to see you go but we know that financial needs impact many decisions and we don’t want lock anyone in. Request a cancellation via email and we will immediately stop the next payment.

Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

Do you offer hosting services?

Glad you asked!  We are in the process of offering hosting packages to our clients and expect this service to be available in Spring 2019.

In the meantime, we can help you to obtain your very own web hosting package with one our (seriously awesome) partners – just reach out to us!

Do you support multisite WordPress installs?

Yup, we do. They will be treated as individual sites and you will pay a Care and Maintenance fee for each. Best to reach out to us as there may be some “economies of scale” that we can discuss.

Does a care & maintenance plan prevent me from being hacked?

We would so love to guarantee that would never happen. But we can’t. We will do everything within our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

Does the monthly Tech Time roll-over?

Our care plans are designed to be monthly plans and as such we reserve your place in our queue each month. Your time, therefore, does not rollover for our Essential and Pro plans. You can take comfort in the fact that what you will request within the time associated with your Care Plan will be prioritized by our team..

Please do be aware that if you do not use the Tech Time allotted to your plan, there is no cash payout equivalent.

Doesn’t my website host take care of this?

Possibly – you should read the fine print, however. Even if you are with a quality host like WP Engine or SiteGround, relying on them completely for backups and protection is a risk. They have no obligation to ensure your data is safe and sound – and we all know stuff happens.

To ensure you NEVER lose your website, we recommend having direct control and access to your site backups (i.e. storing them off-site).

My website was not built by the 4 Chicks

Huh. How did that happen?

Although these plans are designed for sites that were built by us, we welcome clients who are looking for a long term partner with a professional and dedicated web team.

We first like to do a “Website Health Check” to become familiar with the website, how it was built and any potential issues that can arise. With the evaluation we will both have a baseline of where your website is at now and we can determine whether you are a good fit for one of our Care and Maintenance plans. Most importantly we will make list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly care plan.

If you choose to continue with us as your partner, we will deduct 50% of the cost of the Website Health Check from your Care and Maintenance plan investment. If not, you will have invested in a thorough report on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to your website that you can move forward with.

What can I talk about with my Tech Expert?

Pretty much anything! Questions on lead generation, integration with other 3rd party platforms like Infusionsoft or Stripe, whether you should launch a membership platform or online course. Our team has a wide variety of skills and experience that you can tap into!

We know brainstorming and strategy works best on the phone or on a video call. These calls are reserved at the beginning of each month – you will receive an email to book a time with us. They are also recorded and you will receive your recording the same business day.

These calls can help you achieve your goals and reach a broader audience, so take them seriously. We suggest that you keep a running list of topics for these calls … we LOVE Evernote for this sort of thing).

What if I have multiple websites?

Yup, we do. They will be treated as individual sites and you will pay a Care and Maintenance fee for each. Best to reach out to us as there may be some “economies of scale” that we can discuss.

What if my theme, plugins etc. are customized?

That is one of the reasons we do a “Website Health Check” before working with client’s whose sites were not created by the 4Chicks. The “Website Health Check” allows us to become familiar with your site, how it was built and any potential issues that can arise.

What if my website is hacked?

Our website care plans are preventative care, so we do our best to prevent anything from happening. However in the event that your website has a major issue, we will be there by it’s side communicating with your web hosting company on your behalf. We do not make guarantees that your website will not be hacked, but we will do everything within our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

Why do I need protection, no one is trying to hack my site?

Hate to burst your bubble, however, if you have something on the internet, someone is trying to hack into it. WordPress powers almost 30% of all sites on the internet … that is a lot of websites. Forbes Magazine reported in 2015 that 30,000 websites a day are hacked. , so your website is a target if for no other reason that it exists.
